How GEO Is Funded—and How You Can Be Part of It

Guatemalan Educational Outreach (GEO) is sustained through the generosity of foundations, community fundraising efforts, and faithful supporters like you. Our work is made possible by grants, annual fundraising campaigns, and individual donations that directly support our students, teachers, and programs. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps create stability, growth, and opportunity for children in rural Guatemala.

We accept donations by check, credit card, PayPal, Venmo and ACH. For those who wish to give more strategically, we also welcome gifts of stock, donations through Donor-Advised Funds (DAFs), and Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs) from IRAs. You may also choose to leave a lasting legacy by including GEO in your will, trust, or estate plans.

Donor Advised Funds

Corporate Matching Gifts

Contributions made by your employer to match your charitable donations, effectively double or even triple the impact of your original gift.

Retirement Account

Contribute funds directly from your retirement account, such as IRA or 401(k), to GEO. This method helps maximize your impact while potentially reducing taxable income.

Qualified Charitable Distributions

Donate up to $100,000 directly from your Individual Retirement Account (IRA) to GEO, avoiding income tax on the distribution. This strategy can help meet required minimum distributions while benefiting a charitable cause.

Planned Giving
