Because of You, the School Is Thriving
Thanks to the continued generosity of our supporters, the children at The Little Mountain School are experiencing a season of remarkable growth, creativity, and joy. Every day, the school is becoming a place where students are learning, thriving, and dreaming boldly about their future. Here are just a few of the beautiful things happening at the school.
A Strong Start and Steady Growth
The new school year began in January under new leadership, bringing renewed vision, stability, and direction. With thoughtful planning and dedicated staff, the school continues to grow stronger—academically, emotionally, and spiritually.
To ensure that every child succeeds, we offer daily reinforcement classes for students who need additional academic support. These one-on-one and small-group sessions help ensure no student is left behind, contributing to an impressive 99% student retention rate.
Parents are joining in this effort as well, investing in the future of their children and strengthening the school community.
Learning That Inspires and Engages
Beyond academics, students participate in motivational activities that keep learning joyful and engaging. This year, the school expanded enrichment opportunities with new classes in art, acting, and dance, helping students build confidence, creativity, and self-expression.
Volunteer support also plays an important role. Volunteer Obie is currently providing English immersion, equipping students with language skills that will serve them well into the future.
Building Community and Responsibility
Students are learning what it means to care for their community. Recently, 6th and 7th grade students organized a community clean-up, demonstrating leadership, teamwork, and pride in their school and neighborhood.
The children also planted their own school garden, and the first harvest is already underway—a hands-on lesson in responsibility, sustainability, and nourishment.
School meals have also become more nutritious and varied, supporting both health and learning throughout the day
Moments of Joy
Joy is an essential part of learning. A recent pizza party, made possible by Father Richard and the support of St. Paul’s Church, gave students the chance to celebrate together—sharing laughter, food, and a sense of belonging.
Gratitude for Our Community Partners
We are grateful for the many community partners who walk alongside the school. A recent fundraiser at Mary Queen Catholic Church raised over $6,000, helping sustain daily operations and strengthen the school’s ability to serve its students well.
