A New Name for GEO’s Monthly Giving Community
For years, supporters of The Little Mountain School have faithfully walked alongside students in rural Guatemala through GEO’s “Sponsor a Student” program. Through monthly generosity, children have received education, meals, encouragement, and opportunities that are changing the trajectory of their lives.
Today, GEO is excited to announce a new chapter in that journey: The Mountain Circle.
The Mountain Circle is the new name for GEO’s monthly giving community. While the name has changed, the heart of the program remains exactly the same.
Current monthly supporters are automatically part of The Mountain Circle and will continue receiving updates, stories, photos, and messages from the children and classrooms they help support.
As The Little Mountain School continues to grow, we wanted a name that better reflects the community surrounding these children with care, generosity, and shared commitment.
“The Mountain Circle represents more than monthly giving,” Fr. Miguel, Founder of GEO and The Little Mountain School, shared. “It represents a circle of people helping build opportunity, stability, dignity, and hope for children and families in Joya Honda.”
Monthly gifts through The Mountain Circle continue to provide the daily essentials that make education possible, including:
- Teachers and educational support
- Nutritious daily meals
- Classroom materials and school supplies
- Technology and English instruction
- Opportunities for students to grow and thrive
Supporters can participate at a variety of monthly giving levels, helping sustain both individual student needs and the long-term growth of the school.
New Opportunity: Sponsor an Entire Classroom
In addition to individual monthly giving, we are now offering the opportunity to sponsor an entire classroom of students.
A classroom sponsorship helps provide the meals, teachers, school supplies, technology, and educational support needed for a full grade level throughout the year.
Full classroom sponsorships begin at approximately $3,000 per month or $36,000 per year, depending on the size and needs of the class.
Classroom sponsors will receive special updates, stories, photos, and insights directly from the students and teachers they are helping support.
These sponsorships may be especially meaningful for churches, parish ministries, businesses, families, or groups of friends who want to support students together. While some sponsors may choose ongoing support, classroom sponsorships can also be structured as one-time or one-year commitments — creating a powerful and tangible way for communities to invest in the future of these children.
Every gift, no matter the size, becomes part of something larger: a community committed to ensuring children in rural Guatemala have access to education, stability, nourishment, and hope for the future.
Because of faithful supporters, students who once had limited access to education are now learning English, growing in confidence, discovering new opportunities, and dreaming about futures that once seemed impossible.
