The President of GEO, Father Miguel Alvizures, will be participating in El Camino de Santiago de Compostela, a 550-mile pilgrimage across northern Spain. All donations made to Father Miguel will go directly to GEO. If you would like to learn more about his journey, please visit https://geo550.org .
We have successfully finished our first year! We raised the money for additional classrooms and they are being constructed now!
We are in the process of raising money to continue funding teacher salaries and school meals. These funds will directly pay two Kentucky-based teachers in Guatemala and two Guatemalan teachers. They will also cover two nutritious meals each day for every student attending the school. Our goal is $40,000 for next year to keep the dream alive!
We will be hosting a welcome home party and fundraiser for Reina Slaymaker on December 14th at Chapel Hill Presbyterian Church (3534 Tates Creek Road, Lexington) from 6:30pm – 9pm. All GEO supporters are invited to attend.
