Welcoming a New Leader: A Leader Rooted in Faith, Service, and Educational Excellence
The Little Mountain School is entering a new and exciting chapter in its story.
In 2026, we are honored to welcome Luis Fernando Urbina Osla as the school’s new Administrative Director—a leader whose life and career reflect a deep commitment to education, service, and faith.

A Life Formed in the Classroom
Luis’ journey in education began early. Born in Guatemala City in 1991, he entered the classroom at just two and a half years old, beginning what would become a lifelong vocation in learning and leadership.
He spent over a decade at Colegio Loyola, where his academic formation was paired with experiences that shaped his adaptability and worldview—including time studying in the United States and diverse communities within Guatemala.
From the beginning, Luis understood that education is not simply about knowledge—it is about formation.
Education in Service to Others
As a young man, Luis dedicated his weekends to serving others—coordinating faith-based youth programs and participating in missionary work across Guatemala.
These early experiences laid the foundation for his lifelong belief that education must be rooted in service.
He later pursued formal training in Educational Administration, earning degrees from both the University of San Carlos of Guatemala and Rafael Landívar University, equipping him to lead not just classrooms—but entire educational systems.
A Proven Leader in Education
Luis’ career reflects both depth and breadth in educational leadership.
He returned to Colegio Loyola as a teacher and quickly rose to become Director of the Pastoral Department, overseeing formation across the entire school community.
In 2023, he expanded his impact nationwide through his work with FUNSEPA, training teachers and school leaders in digital tools and helping bridge the technological gap in rural communities.
By 2025, he was leading academic and administrative strategy across a network of eight schools—managing curriculum, teacher development, and institutional growth at scale.
A Vision for The Little Mountain School
Now, as Administrative Director of The Little Mountain School, Luis brings together his technical expertise, pastoral leadership, and deep love for students.
His vision is clear:
- Strengthen academic excellence
- Invest in teachers and leadership development
- Expand opportunities for students in underserved communities
- Support the holistic development of each student—academically, spiritually, and socially
At The Little Mountain School, where students already experience extraordinary retention and life-changing opportunity, this leadership will help carry the mission even further.
Faith and Family at the Center
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Luis is guided by his faith and sustained by his family.
Together with his wife, Ana Gabriela Conde, and their son, José Luis, he lives out the same values he brings into the school each day—faith, dedication, and a commitment to building a better future for the next generation.
Looking Ahead
The arrival of new leadership is more than a transition—it is an opportunity.
An opportunity to deepen impact.
To strengthen community.
And to continue building a school where every child is known, supported, and given the opportunity to thrive.
We are grateful for the leadership Luis brings—and excited for what lies ahead.
